Diemen

Cut through by the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal, and the Diem, Diemen is nestled between Amsterdam South-east in the south and west, Amsterdam East/Watergraafsmeer in the north, and farmland and planted forest in the east. It is completely impossible to distinguish Diemen from the rest of Amsterdam to those not local.

While housing here can appear pleasant, the considerable crime rate, vandalism, and general lack of amenities make it a highly undesireable area. Youth gangs provide the primary human presence on the streets at night.
